I've Set Up My Own Webby!

And it's name is TheSebby.com!

It's my personal domain name, but I'm building my business around it. I know, I haven't had the discipline at all to properly keep up a blog, but now I've got plenty of reasons to do so!

TheSebby.com will be a website created purely to learn how to make money, keep money and create enough money to safely retire on. And remember, the keyword is SAFELY.

I think I'll still keep this blog, even if it's just to post my regular personal development. I learn new things everyday from the things that I read, so it would make sense to keep track of such progress. At least I'll be constantly reminded of what I've read.

Wish me luck!
Hey, I'm back again!

it's been forever since i've posted here. i'm not much of a blogging type but i really need to have a place to start venting or to start making my views public.

i've started working for my parents for almost 7 months now, since the end of my term in the army. i've pretty much settled into the routine of things, but now business is getting really slow and a lot of changes have to be made. i've added onto the list of expenses, but i'm not generating enough sales to pay myself! (incidentally, the credit lines that i've signed up for are indeed paying my salary)

i started to get really scared. i started to remember what i've learned reading "get rich" books. ALL of them say, "get multiple sources of income and never rely on a single one source".

so i turned to the internet. after all, i've already got the access, and my mom would just kill me if i constantly play games online. i've read so many stories, abt how some ppl just make it rich online, no matter which country they're from.

so in...

Wow... I'm back! 2005 in review!

I see that it's been almost a year since I last blogged about anything! It's not a habit of mine to write a diary or a journal of any sort, since I could most likely be held ransom by something I've written in it. But for reasons I will explain in another post, I want to start keeping a record on my life.

For now, let's start with the year that has past us all by, 2005!

I can't remember every single thing that's happened, so here are the highlights:

1) I left the army!

It's been quite a fun trip, and it was quite a cultural shock when I left, cos life on the outside was really really different from my life inside. There were many occasions I slept in the afternoon in my beloved CAI, many times i've spent the entire day just playing computer games, watching movies and anime. And let's not forget the television shows that we downloaded! Gosh...

But I'm grateful that I'm no longer under the constant threat of restricting my freedom, the threats of being charged by power-hungry seni...

Final Destination 3

I'm back from an extremely long hiatus from updating this site! I must've caught a million movies since Hitch, so I'll add in as many reviews as I can remember.

Final Destination 3 is the 3rd installment of the highly popular series. As expected, your final destination would be your death, and according to this storyline, if Death doesn't get you the first time, He'll just keep coming.

Having no real link to the first 2 movies, it starts off with a rollercoaster ride gone wrong, someone has a vision, and a few ppl get off before they die. But because they've escaped Death once, He comes back for his prize with a vengeance. The deaths are extremely gruesome, and I'm sure that this is a movie that will not be easily forgotten.

Wacky Wednesday!

Oh WOW, more options to spice up the journal portion of this site... Hehehe...

A lot has happened in the past couple of days, thought that I would like to share since I haven't really been loyally updating this thingy...

1) Our new pope has been chosen! Once again, the Holy Spirit moves our people-in-charge to lead the church in the right direction. After all, that's the only way an organisation with so many fallible individuals can survive after so long. Divine Intervention.

2) Fund-Raiser Car Wash: I can officially say this: The People of Hougang are insane. We've managed to raise $8,211.25 for our Tripartite Camp! More than one person paid us not to touch their car, but more than a few just gave us money cos they wanted to help the youths of our church. Crazy, I tell u...

Well, we've officially built up a Youth Fund in our church. We're now showing the adults in the church that the Youths are a force to be reckoned with. Hehehe... But I can't let this entry go by without tellin...

Hitch

I must've watched this show like 3 times already. Why is this so good? Cos u get to see Will Smith making his moves, so smooooooth.... Definitely makes you wanna be like him...

So what's it about? The Man helps people open up, find out what mistakes they're making that stops them from letting the other party find out how great they really are. That's why it rocks. It's not so much about how to get the girl into bed, but about how to get the girl, period. Of course, if basically u're scum, then u shouldn't be watching it, it ain't for u.

Wonderfully plotted show. No joke. I'm not that liberal with praises for movies, but this is awesome.

Lagging Tuesday...

Hey hey hey!!!

Well, things are moving really slowly today... Actually, not really true... It's just that I'm really too lazy to update this particular blog. Didn't really see much activity over here, then decided that it might not be worth my time.

But hey, what did you know? A babe from Malaysia dropped in to see my homepage! LOL! So it can't be that bad, yeah?

So what's been happenening the past month? Workplace is undergoing some drastic makeover, my church group survived Holy Week (Chris, u rock!), exceeded the expected amount for our fund-raising of our camp, and yeah, our pope passed away...

It was just a really gloomy affair when u see the world mourning the passing of a great man. But I guess as Catholics, one should be happy for the person. After all, he's gone to see the Big Guy up there, enjoying the "other" life, leaving the rest of us here to make the best of it.

But ur heart will be touched if u saw how many lives Pope John Paul II touched. Through the grace of Go...

Awesome Thursday!

So many fantastic stuff happened over just 24 hours, I don't even know where to begin! Yipppee!!!!

What's that you said? Alright, chronologically then...

In the morning, I finally finished the letter of appeal successfully without too much "squeezing" by the boss man. If that ain't enough, I finished a lot of my work that was due tomorrow, so that means I can really just hang out and chill...

In the evening, my army brudders and I just decided to catch a movie. Actually I initiated it. I really wanted to watch Hitch once it opened in cinemas today, so managed to psycho them to come. Man, it was an awesome show... Read more about it in the reviews section, yah?

Now that I'm home, guess what else?

I PASSED BASIC THEORY!!!

Alright, to all ya smug jokers out there, yeah, BTT is suppose to be easy, and I shouldn't be that happy about it, but damn, I passed man! Failed twice before already... Guess I'm really in it for the long haul now... No turning back...

Long enough...

Back again...

I thought that maybe I would be able to start my own blog site @ sebby.net, but then it was too much of a hassle to set passwords, change templates, add images, etc...

So yeah, I'm back here again, at Multiply.com. I'll just try out ALL it's features, then see how many pictures I can keep online. hehehe...

As for my blog of the day:

I was awarded 2 extras, and I ain't a happy man. I'm gonna bring it up to my superiors to appeal against it cos I really think it's unjustified. I practically spent the entire morning attempting to write a perfect MSW letter of appeal, but my boss was still busting my balls in the afternoon, so I decided to give it a break until tmr, when he's calm.

What else's going on in my life? Went out with a friend yesterday to attempt to shop for a laptop, but we got to Funan at 8pm, when the shops were all closing. bleh.

Anyway, we went for dinner after that (ramen, anyone?) and we started talking abt everything under the sky... (One day, i'll get he...

Constantine

I would've given it 4 1/2 if I had the ability to... LOL! Wasn't worth five stars, but it was too little to give it 4 stars too...

Keanu Reeves's stony expression is oh so apparent in this movie, and it works fantastically for the anti-social chimney that he plays in this film!

Ok, let's go into the plot a little...

Constantine can see ghosts, and has been exorcising demons to atone for his sin of suicide many years back. As it stands, he's trying to buy his way into God's good graces by sending demons back into hell.

There are many things in this story that might ruffle a few feathers among the Christian community, but to me, since it's a movie, they're allowed some artistic creativity with the storyline. As long as the viewers are smart enough to know that it's just a storyline, there's no real harm done.

I was looking for the genre "Horror-Comedy"... Can't seem to find it...

This was quite an interesting movie. A lot of people (girls especially) gave the movie two thumbs up! Go catch it, they said. LOL!

Anyway, I did catch it, and it was pretty nice. Not really fantastic, but worth getting the DVD. It's one of those feel-good movies, which also brings out the art form in dancing. U should look at those guys bust a move... LOL!

Flight of the Pheonix

What can I say? It was pretty bad. The general storyline is quite predictable, most of it was shown in the trailers.

1) Crew crashes into desert
2) Can't walk out
3) Limited food
4) Builds a plane (in trailer)
5) Escapes the desert

In the meantime, there's only once whereby nomads actually attacked them.

Count the stars. Watch at your own

Brand new set of books from Microsoft Publishings, the people who are the ones actually setting the paper. Bought it from Borders recently, but after a while, I decided to change industries. :oP

As you can see from the pictures, the plastic wrapping isn't even opened yet. At the back of the block of books state that it comes with a 15% discount voucher for the examination papers, but I didn't open it so I can't confirm.

Angels and Demons - Dan Brown

I just have to share this article man... Enjoy the read!

=========================================
Angels and Demons: Camerlengo Carlo Ventresca’s speech.

Now speaking directly to the camera, the camerlengo stepped forward. “To the Illuminati,” he said, his voice deepening, “and to those of science, let me say this.” He paused. “You have won the war.”

The silence spread now to the deepest corners of the chapel. Mortati could hear the desperate thumping of his own heart.

“The wheels have been in motion for a long time,” the camerlengo said. “Your victory has been inevitable. Never before has it been as obvious as it is at this moment. Science is the new God.”

What is he saying! Mortati thought. Has he gone mad? The entire world is hearing this!

“Medicine, electronic communications, space travel, genetic manipulation… These are the miracles about which we now tell our children. These are the miracles we herald as proof that science will bring us the answers. The an...

Collateral

Tom Cruise as the bad guy. No, wait, now you'll have to define for me the meaning of "bad guy". Cos as far as Cruise is concerned, he's just doing his job.

It's just one of those movies where the "villian" explains to an outsider his justification for what he does for a living. Cruise plays the cold-hearted trigger-happy killer fantastically well, and his conversations with Jamie Foxx, they just blow your mind.

Now, Foxx's just the all-around nice guy. Cab driver with big dreams, but no guts to do them. If you ask me, knowing Cruise's character was the best thing and the worst thing that happened to Foxx.

What do I mean by that? For that, you'll have to watch the flick.
